Male Stars and Their Military Service: Who's Joining and Leaving?

While Korean males are required to spend 22 months in the military, it’s not always easy as male stars to leave the public eye for that long. With the entertainment industry's rapidly changing trends and huge influx of new debuting stars each year, there’s no guarantee for male celebrities that their career opportunities, fan base, popularity will not decrease, or even remain the same as prior to their departure to the military. Thus, some stars have stirred great controversy by getting caught while using illegal methods to shirk active duties. On the other hand, there are also celebrities like Hyun Bin who have become an exemplar for other Korean males by voluntarily joining the Marine Corps, which is considered to be one of the toughest.

Male stars has been very cautious these days about receiving any preferential treatment or avoiding military duties because they know too well that the general public is watching them, with the military service of male celebrities always being a sensitive subject in Korea. While Korea male celebrities and military duties are inseparable subject matters, we tried grouping some of our favorite male celebrities based on their timing and characteristics of their military service duties.

So Much Drama: Controversial Cases

Yoo Seung Joon

Yoo Seung Joon has become a poster boy of Korean-American celebrities who have not served the Army by either keeping their overseas permanent residency or citizenship when he became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2002. While he was arguably the biggest star in Korea at the moment, public criticism grew out of control as soon as he gave up his Korean citizenship. Ultimately, he got expelled from the country and despite being nine years since his violation of military service laws, he still isn’t allowed to perform in Korea!

MC Mong

MC Mong has been accused of violating military service laws and avoiding military duties by pulling out four of his “normal” teeth from August 2004 to December 2006. Regardless of the intent, he was able to receive a lower level (Level 5) and get exempted for military service. Ultimately, MC Mong has been cleared for accusations of violating military service laws. Yet, the general public still seems to be suspicious toward him. As his public image pretty much went down the drain, it’s unclear at this point whether MC Mong will be able resume his career again.

Great Korean Patriots

Here are a group of stars who gave up their U.S. green cards or U.S. citizenships (which give them the option to forego the mandatory two year military service in Korea) in order to enlist into Korean Army.

‘Secret Garden’ star Hyun Bin joined the Marine Corps on March 7th. Although it may seem a bit early to wait for his discharge, for those of you who are dearly waiting for his comeback like me, Hyun Bin’s estimated discharge date is December 4th, 2012!

Rain and Se7en Exchange Amusing Tweets

Rain and Se7en had an amusing conversation over Twitter last night. Rain first asked on his Twitter page,“What’s the best type of dog to raise indoors?” Moments later, Se7en responded with a picture he put together of Rain and a puppy that looks like a breed of dachshund (image below), saying, “You should get this dog! A dog that looks exactly like you!” As you can see in the picture, Se7en’s playful comment was a joke making fun of Rain’s small eyes.

Rain later replied, “We should go back to high school. Meet me outside!” Se7en then answered, “Oh! Brother, please no…I apologize. You bullied me enough in high school.” The funny conversation came to an end with Rain saying, “What? When did I?…I was the nicest to you~people are going to have wrong ideas T.T”

Rain and Se7en both went to An Yang High School of Arts. Rain is a class older than Se7en but they are known to be good friends for a long time. Rain seemed a bit ticked off at Se7en’s comment, but honestly the picture’s so adorable who would mind being called that dog?

Manga “Ouran Host Club” to get a live action adaptation!!!

Oh my! Oh My! it's can't be !!..but it is....here it's come a live action of Tamaki and Haruhi, believe me there will be a live action drama of "Ouran high school Host Club" ^_^. It's really good news to all the die Hard fan of Ouran. check out the article below:-

You can never have too many live-action adapations of mangas (I think?), and to answer the prayers of a lot of fans, they are finally making one for Hatori Bisco’s manga, “Ouran High School Host Club“. The plans were revealed in the July issue of Hakusensha’s “LaLa” tokubon.

The romantic comedy will star Yamamoto Yusuke (“Hanazakari no Kimitachi e“) as the Host Club president, “Tamaki Suo“. To play the head-strong, cross-dressing heroine, Kawaguchi Haruna was chosen to play “Fujioka Haruhi“.

The story is about “Haruhi”, a “poor” student who enters the world of the rich, “Ouran Gakuen”. By accidently breaking a vase she can’t pay for, she’s made to join the school’s “Host Club” to pay off her debt.

The series was adapted into a 26-episode anime in 2006, and was later released in North America in 2008.

The series is set to release this summer in July.

I'll find you even in Hell!! - Bleach 4th Movie The Hell Verse or Jigoku hen

Kyaaa...he really hot rite ^_^. No more word can i say kyaaa....kyaaa 'The hottest Kurosaki Ichigo'. oops! enough with the fangirl act >_<,

As know Bleach 4th Movie, Bleach:The Hell Verse was released in Japanese theater on December 4th 2010. So i just make some preview about the movie. I wait really long for the DVD version release since they can just make an Eng.sub after the DVD release. They saying it's only out after 6-7 month after the movie. That mean i need to wait till July or worst September for the Eng.sub. For now i need to satisfied with the thriller only and some picture from Bleach die hard fan. A million thanks to them.

Bleach: Hell Chapter is the fourth animated film adaptation of the anime and manga series Bleach, and besides that, next year the manga reaches its first decade. To commemorate this, the franchise of the series, has decided to give those attending the premiere of the film, a special edition book called The Hell Verse Bleach. The number of copies will be limited to only 1,000,000 copies. The book includes a sleeve, with an original story by Tite Kubo, and also contain character design, the art of desserts, and an interview.

Directed by Noriyuki Abe. The film's theme song will be "Save The One, Save The All", performed by T.M.Revolution and its screenplay is written by Natsuko Takahashi and Ookubo Masahiro, with Tite Kubo, author of the manga, himself overseeing the production. A prologue for the film, titled Theatre Opening Commemoration! Hell Chapter・Prologue, was included in season 14 episode 299 of the animation series

Hell: The place where even Shinigami aren't allowed to go, if you go there you die. The denizen's of hell known as the "Togabito" or unforgiven have kidnapped Ichigo's sister Yuzu and attempted to take Karin as well. In an attempt to stop them, Ichigo and his friends are crushed by the Togabito's overwhelming power. A mysterious man named Kokutou (a Togabito himself) saves Karin but the Togabito succeeded in taking Yuzu to hell. On the journey to Hell, Ichigo's Hollow mask begins to spontaneously manifest and Kokutō warns him to avoid using it lest he lose control and hollowfy entirely. Ichigo, Rukia, Renji, Ishida, and Kokutō battle Shuren and the other Unforgiven, and it becomes apparent that Shuren plans to use Ichigo's hollow powers to escape Hell.

After Shuren and the other Unforgiven are defeated, Kokutō betrays Ichigo and reveals he was the true leader of the Unforgiven and the one behind Yuzu's kidnapping. Kokutō kills Yuzu and an enraged Ichigo hollowfies, blasting Kokutō with his Cero, destroying most of the chains binding Kokutō to Hell and burning through the gates of Hell. Renji breaks Ichigo's Hollow mask and grabs Yuzu's corpse while they are extracted by Soul Society, but Rukia, Renji, and Ishida are captured. When Yuzu spontaneously revives, Ichigo, despite being forbidden to do so by Soul Society, returns to Hell to rescue his friends and confronts Kokutō, who killed Renji and Ishida and was torturing Rukia. 

Resisting hollowfication, Ichigo undergoes a transformation after being given power by the Hell guardians, becoming covered in bones, and defeats Kokutō, bringing his friends back to life and escaping Hell as the gates repair themselves and vanish. With Kokutou leading the way Ichigo, Rukia, Uryuu, and Renji march into hell to save the world.

At this point i'm really hate that i didn't know japan language. But it's okay to just watch Ichigo cool face in the thriller even i didn't know what the meaning is ^_^
