Led by Super Junior and Girls’ Generation, artists from SM Entertainment traveled to Paris and held their SMTOWN concert on June 10th and 11th. The dates were completely sold out, and as a result, generated approximately $1.6 million USD for SM Entertainment. This also signifies that the Hallyu wave has been officially brought into Europe.The latest round of SMTOWN concerts began in Seoul in August 2010 and have generated a total of over $10.7 million USD for the company. Last week, they arrived in Paris and over 1,000 fans were at the airport to greet the artists, resulting in the need of security guards to ensure everyone’s safety.Below is a list of the SMTOWN concerts held in the past year, as well as the approximate amount of fans that attended the concert and the revenue generated.
