Super Junior’s “Mr. Simple” Album Sells Over 280,000 Copies
Super Junior’s fifth album “Mr. Simple” takes the top spot on Gaon’s album charts for the month of August.
According to Gaon Charts on Sept. 9, “Mr. Simple” sold 287,427 copies for the month of August. Released on August 3, it has already kept up with DBSK’s official fifth album “Keep Your Head Down”, which also has sold over 200,000 copies this year.
Since it had been roughly one year and two months since their previous album release, “Mr. Simple” garnered a lot of attention even before its release. Their title song “Mr. Simple” ranked fourth on the monthly digital charts for Gaon overall.
Second place was male group Infinite with their first official album “Over the Top,” selling 19,302 copies last month and a total of 48,165 copies overall in 2011. Meanwhile, Leessang ranked third with their seventh album “AsuRa BalBalTa” by selling 14,222 copies.
Continuing on from that, T-ara ranked fourth by selling 13,122 copies with their repackaged mini album “Roly-Poly in Copacabana,” while the “I Am A Singer Competition 1 CD” sold 13,095 copies and landed fifth on the chart.
