“To the Beautiful You” , Hana Kimi Korean Version.

Idol powerhouse SM Entertainment – the agency that has created H.O.T., S.E.S., DBSK, SNSD, SHINee, Super Junior, etc. – will be producing the drama “To the Beautiful You.” “To the Beautiful You” is a Korean adaptation to the mega-popular Japanese manga "Hana Kimi", which sold over 17 million copies. The manga has had a Japanese drama version created in 2007 and a Taiwanese version produced in 2006. Both versions were extremely popular. The story is about Mijukiga, an extreme fan girl of athlete Sano, who moves from her home in America to Japan where Sano lives. She impersonates a guy to attend Sano’s boys only high school. The drama will detail the lives of the school’s pretty boys. SM Entertainment has a slew of good-looking male idol stars who would be perfect for the parts.

SM’s idols are popular all over Asia and with them casted as main leads, producers are expecting a good profit from selling the drama overseas. Additionally, trainees and recently debuted idol members will be able to gain exposure. The only problem lies in casting and acting skills. Whenever idols were casted as leads for a drama, their acting skills, or lack thereof, were always pointed out. Furthermore, most idol-casted dramas were unable to achieve strong viewer ratings.

Also, because it is SM that is producing the drama, the cast, as well as music artists for their original soundtrack (OST), will probably be from SM. Some viewers may be turned off by all the affiliation with SM. The drama is set for a summer broadcast and fans are already speculating who will be casted as its leads.

Super Junior “Super Show 3″ Set new record in Taiwan

Super Junior’s 3rd Asia tour <Super Show 3> captivated Taiwan fans.

On the 14th, SM entertainment announced “Super Junior drew a total of 30 thousand viewers through <Super Show 3>. With the title of the first international artist to sell out all 3 arena concerts in Taipei,(they successfully) set a new record.”

For the 3 days from 11th to 13th, Super Junior held a total of 3 concerts consecutively in Taiwan’s largest indoor venue, Taipei Arena, resulting in the enthusiasm of the 30 000-audience. Especially (the fact) that this is the first time a series of 3 concerts were held by foreign singers in Taipei Arena, the largest indoor venue of Taiwan. Super Junior’s 3 concerts were all sold out, attracted the most number of viewers, and also set a new record, receiving recognition.

The concerts (held in Taiwan) included Super Junior’s hit tracks <Sorry Sorry>, <U>, <Miinah>, individual members’ performances, sub-group stages such as Super Junior-T and Super Junior-M, 

as well as the stage <Oh! My Goddess> by special guests, The Trax. Approximately 3 hours, 30 songs of elegant and spectacular performances, raised the heat among the audience.

Super Junior took the first place for 36 weeks in Kkbox Korean Japanese charts with their 2009 3rd jib song track <Sorry Sorry>, and proceeded on to take the top position last year, with their 4 jib track <Miinah> for a total of 42 weeks in the same chart.

Super Junior is expected to continue <Super Show 3> in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the 19th March.

‘Super Show 3 3D The Movie'

“The sweat on the members’ faces surfaced, their breathing sounds lingering in the ears.”

The media premiere of Super Junior’s first 3D movie <Super Show 3 3D> was successfully held on the 24th.

In regards to fans who requested to have a first glimpse of Super Junior’s live video, a premiere of <Super Show 3 3D> was organised on the 23th 6pm at Wangsimni CGV.

On this day, before the 3D movie was shown, a press conference was held, Super Junior members Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong attended. Although the other members could not make it due to their schedule, the theatre was still filled with cheering voices when the trio appeared.

Leader Leeteuk shared his feelings, “Really very curious, feeling very good too, it's an experience”, “The sensation in the concert had a lifelike feeling in the cinema theatre.” He too, expressed his hopes “Super Show 4 which will be held in the future, it’d be good if they are made into 3D movies just like this.”

After which, Shindong and Yesung stated, “Being able to view the images shown in the concert, in the theatre, feels really like a dream.”, “We feel very proud, it’s blissful to be able to let everyone see our fruitful efforts.”

This day, the guests and media proved the popularity of hallyu star Super Junior. The purpose of this media premiere is to relive the atmosphere of the concert, thus Super Junior 3D light sticks and 3D glasses were provided on a free basis, creating a lively ambience.

<Super Show 3 3D> was filmed in Super Junior’s 3rd Asia tour <Super Show 3> held in Seoul Olympic Park Stadium last year in August, using 3D cameras. The special part was, compared to Super Junior’s performance in <Super Show>, their elegant looks attracted attention. Adding on to the fact that it is a 3D movie, the image of members hanging in the air using wires and their intense performance make it feel just like an actual performance.

Members Eunhyuk and Shindong walked to the sides of the stage director, and maintained close distance with a level of fans, the stage settings which were filled with their hard work steered the 3D film.

In the movie, Super Junior Heechul and members of The Trax were on the drums, performing <Don’t Don>, members’ group dances include <Miinah>, <No Other>, Super Junior-T retained the trot stage with <Tok Tok Tok>, and lastly Yesung’s solo stage with <It Has To Be You>. Regardless of a solo or group stage, the charm of each member were displayed.

With the orchestra performance version of <Lascia chi’o pianga> feature in Handel’s opera <Rinaldo>, the 3D movie which lasted for 80 minutes ended remarkably.

In particular, the video appearance of Kangin, who is currently in the army, shook the hearts of fans.

A world-class stage, a 3D concert movie in which the power of Super Junior could be vividly felt. Super Junior’s passionate performance, together with fans armed with the sapphire blue light sticks. The sapphire blue sea showed a different kind of impress.

DBSK vs JYJ !! why? talk about the breakup

Why? they never spoke about the breakup before this. It's a 1st time Yunho and changmin talking about this matter. DBSK vs JYJ!!! This happen in one of the episode in Golden Fishery host by Kang Hodong.

Kang Hodong started out strong by asking DBSK if “Keep Your Head Down” was a message to JYJ. Yunho replied that “Honestly that was not our intention.” He went on to explain that if many of DBSK’s songs were played now (with just them two together) it might appear like a “diss” song.

Then Kang Hodong asked DBSK what their concern or problems were. (Golden Fishery’s concept is that Kang Ho Dong will solve their problems for them, that’s why he’s dressed up as a traditional Korean witch) Yunho replied “We would like more male fans but what should we do?” Changmin commented “It’s usually difficult for one guy to look at another and say that he’s cool, we want to be a group that could also be respected by guys.” Yunho said “I think Changmin is better at talking than me.”

Then Yunho talked about how he became a member of DBSK. (His parents were against the idea, and he also had a difficult time) On the other hand, Changmin got picked up while he was playing badminton. Changmin’s mother was intrigued because she would be able to see Boa (^_^) but his father was against the idea. Changmin and his mother went to the audition without telling his father, and easily got accepted.

After that Yunho talked about the various part time jobs that he had, during the early hours he would do snow cleaning work and at night he would work at a barbecue restaurant. All while he was still practicing to become a singer. (Damn!) Changmin’s only part-time job was cleaning his father’s shoes. Yunho then talked about how he slept at parks and subway station (T_T).

Yunho and Changmin briefly talked about how scary fans can be. They explained that they would get prank calls and if they changed their numbers in about five minutes a text would arrive saying “Oh, looks like you changed your number?” Then they would change the number again, and a text arrived saying “I don’t like it how you keep on changing your number.”

Then the subject was on DBSK breaking apart. First, on July 31st, 2009 three DBSK members began their lawsuit to leave DBSK. Kang Hodong asked Yunho and Changmin what they felt at the moment. Yunho said that “Both Changmin and I didn’t know what was going on when the lawsuit began, when we heard the news we thought it was regrettable.” (Regrettable in the sense that the event was a pity and unfortunate) Yunho’s personal thoughts on the issue were “At a young age we were very successful and everyone got caught up in the fame and popularity and that is probably why we have got to this point now, and it hurts my heart deeply.” Yunho said that a lawsuit is an extreme method, and as they were once a part of a group together, he felt hurt.

Kang Hodong asked what was most difficult throughout DBSK’s breakup. Yunho explained that it was ok for fans to call him and Changmin betrayers, but the worst was when their families were being targeted for hateful messages.

Then Kang Hodong asked about their final performance (NHK in 2009) as DBSK with all five members. At the time Changmin thought that it was upsetting because this stage should have been something fun, but he had to perform with sad thoughts. Yunho confessed that he tried harder because he didn’t want to reveal his sadness, and also felt uncomfortable performing on NHK.

Kang Hodong asked about DBSK’s long gap before coming back with “Why?” Yunho explained that it was more difficult because DBSK had to maintain their image with only two members when the other three were also very talented. Kang Hodong briefly talked about “Why?” and its success. Yunho said that “I really wanted to say thank you to the fans that waited for us.”

Then it was time for the solution to DBSK’s problem (How could they get more male fans?) Yoo Sae Yoon screamed “All you have to do is go to the military!”

Love in Paradise island - Paradise Ranch/Farm

This series currently airing in SBS channel every Monday and Tuesday. A sweet comedy romantic drama with a gorgeous scenery and background of Jeju island and Australia land. But the reason i watched because of the lead Male from DBSK group Max Chang Min plays as a third generation of chaebol who married in very young age -19 years old- with Lee Yeon Hee (East of Eden), a prodigy veterinarian who fell in love with horses.The young couple then quickly separated and divorced and return to their own life.
But they realizes that they still have feeling for each other but another man, Joo Sang Wook (Giant, Queen Seon Duk) tries to capture Lee Yeon Hee’s heart.

A teenage married life is quite new in K-drama, but i assume that it’s not the back bone of the story. It’ll be the battle of a love triangle which will dominate the drama.
That makes Paradise Ranch has nothing new to be presented in the story department, but hopefully the acting and chemistry will entertain us.

Synopsis

Two young kiddos in love attempt to run away and elope against their parents’ wishes, but due to her age — she’s 19, he’s 21 — they require parental consent. So instead, they return home and beg the adults to agree to the marriage, and surprisingly it’s his grandfather who relents first and convinces the others to let the kids marry.

The couple has their honeymoon period of wedded bliss… and then, inevitably, problems arise (though we are given no specifics in our heroine’s brief introduction). They divorce after six months and go their separate ways.

And then, we’re six years later.

Now for our real introduction to LEE DA-JI (Lee Yeon-hee), now 25, a veterinarian with a specialty in horses. She works at Paradise Ranch, a small farm on Jeju Island where she lives with her father and her pesky younger sister DA-EUN.

Da-ji loves horses but doesn’t actually seem to be very good with them, which is either a weird quirk or a flaw in the writing of the drama. I can’t decide which. Her boss cluck-clucks about her inability to go 10 minutes without getting herself into some sort of trouble, which seems pretty on the mark. She’s bubbly, vivacious, and optimistic, so it’s easy to like her although one wonders how she managed to become a vet, as her competence has yet to be demonstrated.

She is sent by her cheapskate boss to a horse auction in Australia, with specific instructions on what kind of animal she is to buy. As she looks over her top pick, another prospective horse-buyer notices her — her ex-husband, HAN DONG-JOO (Shim Chang-min).

Dong-joo, now 27, is the spoiled, lazy heir to Dongin Group and director at DI Resort, a sprawling new development on Jeju Island that neighbors Paradise Ranch. In fact DI’s presence is encroaching on the ranch’s own — it’s a You’ve Got Mail-esque battle between the little guys and the big corporate power — but the kids don’t yet know the connection.
