Skip Beat! in Live Action Drama

After making an announcement almost two years ago, Taiwanese cable station ‘Gala Television‘ (GTV) has confirmed that filming for their new 13 episodes drama, “Glamorous Challenge“, will commence on March 31st! The Taiwanese drama attracted international ELF attention after it was revealed that Super Junior members Donghae and Choi Si Won were casted for it.

Since it’s been put on the backburner for two years, most of the original cast and director have left the production. But thankfully, Si Won and Donghae are still in it and they will be acting alongside Taiwanese actresses, Ivy Chen Yi Han (陳意涵) and Bianca Bai Xin Hui (白歆惠).
Niu Cheng Ze (鈕承澤) who was to have directed the drama, now becomes the producer while Feng Jia Rui (馮家瑞) will take over the director’s seat.

Despite their top A-list billing, both of them have asked to be treated like everyone else.
Though they’ll be staying in Taiwan for four months, they haven’t asked for any special requests, like staying in hotels and extra security.

Korean mega boyband Super Junior members Choi Siwon and Lee Donghae will be in Taiwan for the next two months in order to film a drama series, titled “Extravagant Challenge.” On March 31, they held a press conference which attracted nearly five hundred people, a hundred of whom where screaming fans.

Siwon and Donghae showed off their ability in speaking Mandarin, which was a result of many hours of toil, and praised their co-stars Ivy Chen (“cute”) and Bianca Bai (“pretty”). They ended their answers by saying in dialect, “I’m very handsome” and “I can act very well,” instigating screams from the crowd.

Siwon will be acting as a celebrity in “Extravagant Challenge,” a role that is similar to his previous one in Korean drama “Oh! My Lady.” However, he clarified that his upcoming character is more stable and thus can be differentiated. Donghae, on the other hand, expressed his desire to take on the role of a bad guy. He stated that he is not afraid of receiving hate from viewers, saying, “That means that everyone acknowledges my acting prowess!”

Fans are more concerned if there will be a kissing scene with their female co-stars. The producer revealed that ever since Siwon and Donghae were confirmed for the drama, he has been receiving an endless amount of messages on his Weibo (a microblogging site). Some people want a kissing scene and some do not. After a “collation of statistics,” the producers found that the people who want it outnumber the people who don’t, and so “I think I will arrange for a male-male kiss scene between Siwon and Donghae!” To this, Siwon got a little shocked and reprimanded, “That’s too much!” causing waves of laughter to roll across the gathered crowd of media and fans alike.

Siwon also commented, “We actually practice every night, and I have done a kiss scene before, but if my partner is Donghae, that is too big of a challenge.” Donghae then replied huffily, “You’re being too much!”

The four actors and actress admitted that they had good first impressions of each other. The female actresses confessed that Siwon and Donghae were both more handsome and had a better sense of humor that they had expected; also, they both had an adorable side to them.

Super Junior M will be in Taiwan for a long time. Siwon told reporters that the fans’ support are their biggest motivation, while Donghae said, “An actor’s life is just like ‘Extravagant Challenge,’ health is of the utmost importance, or we won’t be able to perform properly.”

The two of them will be in Taiwan for a total of four months. Self-professed music junkie Donghae revealed that he brought along his MP3 and has already composed three songs for the drama; Siwon brought along his bible. Both of them agreed that the Taiwanese are extremely friendly and the girls pretty, and thus they have adapted well to life in Taiwan so far.

Glamorous Challenge” is a live-action adaptation of a Japanese manga called “Skip Beat“, and it’s about a girl, Kyoko (Ivy) who gets betrayed by her long-time boyfriend. In an attempt to get revenge, she debuts as a celebrity; the storyline unfolds with various romantic adventures and hijinks.

Si Won will be playing top star, Ren while Donghae is cast as popular singer, Sho.

No word yet on when the drama will be aired.

I really can't wait to watch this drama. Skip beat is 1 of my favorite manga and now my favorite Idol will act for the Live action drama..^_^

‘I am a good boy’ Male celebrities ‘manner hands’

‘Manner-hand’ denotes the effort of male celebrities trying to reduce as much direct body contact as possible. Those male celebrities who try their best to not touch any part of the body, no matter how close they get, come into the spotlight of many female fans as ‘mannered man’. We’ve made a collection of these manner-handed stars. "Fast, but with manner" manner-hand stars in fierce situations
It is impossible to not make body contact when male and female stars perform a sexy dance. This is also true during games during shows, when male and female stars are put in one team. But, even during these fierce moments, manner-hand is still there.
Super Junior’s Kim Heechul (28) drew much attention with his manner hands during a game with Wonder Girls’ Sohee (19) on SBS ‘Family Outing2′ last year. Heechul holding onto Sohee’s legs with a towel on top while she was on his sholders, was captured. Heechul garnered attention with his thoughfulness for others during an intense game from the netizens.

What you do if you're blood related to a demon? - Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan

This is my current watched anime. Just aired in Animax last February and i became attach to this series. I think it quite interesting and can be an enjoyable anime. Then i also starting to read the manga cause like always the manga should be more interesting than the anime. This anime also called "Nurarihyon No Mago" or meaning Grandchild of Nurarihyon.

Oh! and the boy Rikuo Nurarihyon when at night he turn to demon he really look cool and gorgeous. Like he become a matured man than a junior high school boy in the daylight. i do enjoyed watched this series. For me this series is different than Bleach or Fairy tail, it's in his own league and can attract the viewer or reader to stick on it.

Let me share some of the preview about this series........

Rikuo Nura is part human and a quarter yōkai (demon). Rikuo is able to turn into his yokai form only after the sunsets when the moon is out, he turns back into his human self when the sun rises. This happens because he is only a quarter yokai. He lives in a house full of spirits along with his yōkai grandfather. Trying to escape his fate of acting like a yōkai, he does good deeds in order to avoid becoming one, despite his grandfather's wish to succeed him as master of the Nura yōkai clan. Rikuo is a different yokai because he helps humans. He eventually comes to terms with his demon blood and decides to take up the position of Young head of the Nura house. Multiple factions aim to stop him or overtake his position, and he must gather friends and allies, a new Hyakki Yakō under his banner of "Fear".

Main Character

Rikuo Nurarihyon
Rikuo is not an average 13-year old boy, his mother is Nura Wakana and he inherited 1/4 of his grandfather's youkai blood. In times of impending danger his youkai blood awakens and he switches into his night form to become the the Master of the Youkai(The master of all spirits). Destined to take over as The Third Master of Youkai from his grandfather. Rikuo once embraced the idea and played pranks on the other Youkai, but after realizing the evil nature of the youkai deeds he rejects the idea of becoming their master. He attempts to become more like a normal human by doing all sorts of good deeds, but he still appreciates his youkai underlings. After being tested by Gyuuki he decides to take the position of Young Head and saves both humans and Youkai.

He is seemingly weak but very clever, easily manipulating one of the council members into isolating himself during a meeting and rationalizing against the dissolvement of the Gyuuki Group. He can only transform at night or in darkness and reverts to normal in sunlight. Originally he couldn't remember things he did as his "Night" form, but he later is able to see and communicate with him. Together they plan to form a "Hyakki Yakō" of their own.

Tsurara
Rikuo's trusted attendant who follows him to school disguised as a normal school girl, known as Tsurara Oikawa. She is affectionate towards Rikuo, since she was angry when Genjourou was embracing Rikuo as she was assigned to be one of the extra escorts, and when she saw Kana together with Rikuo (the day after her birthday). She also admires Rikuo's youkai form, because she finds him very reliable and magnificent. She is overprotective of Rikuo when in his human form and expresses great concern for his well being, which is the reason why she is always around him at school. She also acts as a cook. While her food is delicious, most of the time it is chilled or cold. She is really an ice yokai.

Kana
Childhood friend and neighbor of Rikuo. She is hinted to have some affection for him, since she got jealous when she saw Yuki Onna/Tsurara alone together. Rikuo made a promise to help her if she is ever in need. In recent chapters, She has been putting together some of the weird traits and occurrences around Rikuo. She once again meet Rikou in his youkai form in the last chapter after she discovered his glasses on the ground. In the latest chapter, she is being kidnapped by a demon on her 13th birthday. And once again Kana was saved by Rikuo in his youkai form, after she was saved she was taken to a resteruant owned by youkai. In the next morning Kana asked Rikuo if he was friends with his youkai form and blushed when Rikuo asked why. Which implies that Kana has fallen for Rikou's youkai form.

Yura
A young Onmyouji who came to Ukiyoe Town seeking the Master of the Youkai (Rikuo). She enrolled in the same school as Rikuo, as a transfer student from Kyoto. She has incredible talent for an Onmyouji despite her young age, since she is able to summon multiple shikigami. She has met Rikuo's grandfather, but has not realized that he is the Nurarihyon. In chapter 54, Yura was training and her brother suddenly showed up. They felt that Rikuo is a youkai and told it to her. She was not convinced but her brothers attecked her too. Rikuo had no choice but to protect Yura and be a youkai. After that, she knew about his secret then she went to Kyoto because of summonings.

That all of the review. Now it's a showtime .....

What is your PRICE? Can u pay for Happiness - xxxHOLIC

This anime is pretty good. since i'm yet to read the manga so i can't compared between the manga series and the anime. It's can be category as supernatural cause it has a ghost, witch, god and 'Thing' that i don't know what it is (>_<).

"There is no such coincidence in this world, all there is is the inevitable" it's the word that mostly spoken by ms.Yuuko owner of shop (also a witch that can grant every wishes that need to paid equally with the wishes) where Watanuki accidentally and coincidentally find while running from spirit that chasing him everyday.

Xxxholic is a slice of life anime that showcases several supernatural settings that is in one way or another, very similar to real life situations. It shows how greed brings loss, lies can be fatal and how love andfriendship can save. It’s funny - thanks to Watanuki’s wild antics as well as Mokona’s drunkenness. Creepy – mostly because it scared the heck out of me sometimes. Dark, because it presents the world in a way that people rarely see. Also annoying Domeki as a best friend, protector and life sever of watanuki together with a cute and pretty himawari.
I think it's quite worth it to watch this anime. So i give a quick preview regarding this series...let rolllll

PLOT
The series' plot focuses on Kimihiro Watanuki, a high school student plagued by yōkai and ayakashi, spirits with a strong attraction to him. The spirits are invisible to others and encounters with them are extremely troublesome. When he stumbles into a shop that grants wishes, however, events in his life promise to become more unusual. The shop is owned by Yūko Ichihara, a mysterious witch of many names and esoteric renown. For a price, she offers to grant Watanuki's wish to be rid of the spirits. The price, according to Yūko, must be of equal value and so, as payment, he temporarily becomes Yūko's part-time employee. Watanuki's job consists of small errands dealing with the supernatural and household chores. Himawari Kunogi, Watanuki's love interest, and Shizuka Dōmeki, a classmate who Watanuki detests, occasionally join him in his work as per Yūko's request. The three become increasingly close despite Watanuki's annoyance with Dōmeki. Although Watanuki becomes happy with the new friendships he makes, he becomes concerned about Yūko, promising he will try to grant her wish.

As the series continues, Watanuki becomes more familiar and adept with the spiritual world with each supernatural encounter. A crossing plotline with the concurrent series Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle reveals that Yūko is actually on the verge of death, and her personal time was accidentally frozen by a powerful wizard, Clow Reed, keeping her alive for ages. As the magic binding her in time begins to dissolve, Yūko's ability to maintain the shop's magical existence fades and she eventually passes on, telling Watanuki that he will finally be free of his ability to see demons. However, Watanuki chooses to retain this ability and his now fully-grown magical powers in order to maintain the shop's existence and take care of it as the new owner. Further cross-over plotlines reveal that Watanuki was created as a result of a wish to turn back time by a shop client Syaoran. While Syaoran was able to go back in time at the cost of being imprisoned by the sorcerer Fei-Wang Reed, Watanuki was created to replace his presence in the natural timeline. As the series reaches its conclusion, Syaoran and Watanuki become trapped in a void by Fei-Wang and the two must pay a price to become free. Syaoran must forever travel through dimensions, never stopping, while Watanuki offers to stay inside the shop forever, and becomes the new owner, granting wishes until the day he can meet Yūko again. As time progresses, Watanuki continues working in the shop, unaging, and is frequently visited by Dōmeki, his assistant, and years later Dōmeki's great grandson.

Although Watanuki is able to meet Yūko through a dream, he decides to continue waiting for her, although he has become able to leave the shop if he wants to.

Main Character

Watanuki
Watanuki is a high school student whose life has been a rather difficult one — not only have both his parents died, forcing him to live alone, but he is plagued daily by spirits that only he can see (both the ability to see them and the cause of their attacks are evidently heritable traits—apparently Watanuki's blood smells very delicious to spirits).
One day, Watanuki enters into an agreement with Yūko to work for her in exchange for the fulfillment of his wish–to never see spirits again. This marks the beginning of Watanuki's very involved part-time job, a fated meeting with a certain quartet from Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, and so many "chance" happenings which occur not out of coincidence, but "hitsuzen".

Yuuko
Being one extremely experienced in her industry, Yūko is not foolish enough to give away her real name like Watanuki. That aside, Yūko has served as a major catalyst for Watanuki's transformation, acting somewhat as his mentor. She loves to drink and eat Watanuki's wonderful cooking and dragging Watanuki on crazy outings at the drop of a hat.
Despite this immature and free-spirited attitude, Yūko has been known to be sage-like and serious when the time calls for it. Yūko seems to know the true hitsuzen that Watanuki will follow, and has often offered cryptic messages to warn him of impending danger or a folk tale that he should take a bit more seriously. She also seems to truly care about him, making sure he is safe at night, sending the Kudakitsune (pipe-fox) with him for extra protection, or calling Dōmeki when he needs saving.
Yūko is very powerful when it comes to magic and knowledge and is highly respected within the spirit realm. However, she doesn't often appear to get directly involved in things beyond whatever contact she has with those making wishes. Sometimes, she sends Watanuki to do jobs for her, such as when she granted a wish from Himawari. Yūko seems to take the role of someone playing chess when it comes to the big picture of things that are going on.

In Horitsuba Gakuen, she is a ruthless principal, who always climbs into rooms through the window.

Domeki
Shizuka Dômeki is Kimihiro Watanuki's classmate and considered a rival by Watanuki. He is part of the school's kyūdō club and often participates (and tops) school competitions. Also because of his cool and calm composure he is very popular with the girls.
He lives in a shrine owned by his late grandfather, a priest in which during his childhood told him a lot of stories about folklore and shinto practices. However, despite his heritage, Dômeki has a nearly null ability of seeing ghosts or spirits, though he can still exorcise them. He does seem to be able to feel spiritual "pressure" and have a vague sense of their presence. One spirit he did see was the Lady in the Park that Watanuki often visited.

Dômeki has a pure or refreshing scent as noted by the Ame-Warashi. Kohane noted that Doumeki was a 'beautiful' or 'pretty' person, most likely referring to his spirit or aura. Naturally, Watanuki is bewildered (and rather agitated) by this. Dômeki cannot enter Yuuko's Store, the explanation why is later revealed on volume 8. His technique of exorcising spirits is by shooting them with an invisible arrow made of pure energy, as first revealed in volume 2.
Originally Dômeki could not see the spirits/ghosts that Watanuki could see (like that of the oden shop owner and the Ghost Girl who haunted a scary home) but after he shared both his blood and half his eye with Watanuki he was able to eventually see and experience what Watanuki goes through.

Dômeki's personality is a total opposite of Watanuki's. He has a cool, calm and often sarcastic demeanor. He barely speaks unless explaining folklore or asking Watanuki for impossible bento lunches (such as asking for food that is out of season or hard to find). He also has a deadpan sense of humor that is often dark and somewhat fatalistic. Much to the annoyance of Watanuki he seems to pop up everywhere, especially when Watanuki gets a chance to be with Himawari. He often replies in a one word phrase like "Hn" or "Oh". He is also very observant, and even though he does not show it he seems to be very protective of Watanuki, such as in Volume 5 where he stood for hours in the rain to make sure Watanuki was safe and in Volume 6 during the incident with the spirit in the park. Volume 9 of the manga through Dômeki's New Years dream we find out he looks like his late grandfather Haruka. His grandfather also knows more about Dômeki's past, and bears an uncanny resemblance to his grandson (though Watanuki points out that Haruka smiles much more).

Himawari
Watanuki's main love interest. He has been infatuated with Himawari ever since the beginning of the series and even some cryptic remarks from Yūko like "are you sure she's good luck?" haven't deterred him.
Himawari is caring and kind towards Watanuki, but she has her own reasons in avoiding him becoming closer to her. For some reason she was born with the power to cause serious misfortune (although unintended) to those around her, an issue that even brought death to her grandmother and sometimes brought trouble to her friends.
