“Rurouni Kenshin” to get film adaptation

Back in July 2010, tokyohive mentioned rumor that Watsuki Nobuhiro’s popular manga, “Rurouni Kenshin -Meiji Kenkaku Romantan-” would get a movie adaptation, and that Sato Takeru would be playing the main character, ‘Himura Kenshin’. As it turns out, it wasn’t a rumor after all!

On June 28th, it was confirmed that a live-action movie of ‘Rurouni Kenshin’ will be released in 2012, and it will indeed star Sato Takeru. Otomo Keishi (the chief director of “Ryomaden“) will direct the movie, and the production company will be Warner Brothers.

“Rurouni Kenshin” was serialized through “Weekly Shonen Jump” during 1994 ~ 1999, and it was translated in 23 countries all over the world. It tells the story of Himura Kenshin, who was known and feared as the assassin “Hitokiri Battousai”; he starts a personal journey as a wanderer after the Meiji Restoration, pledging that he would do “no more killing“. The manga follows Kenshin as he tries to adjust to a new era, making encounters with many people and fighting his old enemies. Its highly-popular anime series was aired during 1996 ~ 1999.

Sato, who is currently practicing for a sword battle, commented, “The role of Kenshin is that of a well-known character, therefore, I think fascinating acting is needed. I would like to create the Kenshin image with the staff, while staying true to the details. I will try my best, so please look forward to it.”

The author of Rurouni Kenshin commented on Sato’s casting for the role: “When this project just started, my wife and I were talking about who would suit the role of Kenshin, and Sato Takeru-san was the one who came up on our mind first. So, when it was confirmed (that Sato will be taking the role), I was surprised, but was also very happy. I’m looking forward to see his wonderful acting.”

Other cast members for the movie will be revealed later, and the film is scheduled to hit theatres in 2012.

Another News

Last month, tokyohive reported that actor Sato Takeru would star as the main character in the film adaptation of Watsuki Nobuhiro’s popular manga, “Rurouni Kenshin“. Today, it has been revealed that model/actress Takei Emi will play the heroine, Kamiya Kaoru, in the movie!

Otomo Keishi, who is known for the NHK Taiga drama, “Ryomaden“, will be the director for the movie. He shared, “Without a doubt, Takei-san is an actress who will become big. Even with an innocent face, she has the will for this work. I feel that she has the chance of becoming big by playing various roles. Along with her age (17), I couldn’t think of anyone else to play the role of Kaoru.”

Takei commented, “I am happy and excited, yet at the same time very nervous to star in the film adaptation of a comic loved by many people. For the filming, I am learning sword fighting and posture. I feel my spirit will be put in good shape by each and every one of these movements. With the teamwork of the staff and my co-stars, I want to make this a film everyone will enjoy. I want to challenge myself with all my might. Please look forward to it.”

“Rurouni Kenshin” is a story about a legendary assassin named Kenshin. After the Meiji Restoration, he made an oath to not kill anymore, and wanders from town to town. Produced by Warner Brothers, the movie will begin filming this summer, and is scheduled to hit theatres in the summer of 2012.

SBS Drama "Brilliant Legacy" Will Be Remade in Taiwanese version

I adore this guy since i watch him in "Meteor Garden" Jerry Yan as Dao Meng shi...he really awesome in that series. So now he back with another drama adaptation from SBS drama "Brilliant Legacy" an will play a same role with Lee Seung gi.

Let's read some of the news

SBS’s 2009 highly-rated drama “Brilliant Legacy” (or “Shining Inheritance”) gets a Chinese incarnation. The Han Hyo Joo – Lee Seung Gi starrer, an inspirational, Cinderella story about the reversal of fortunes, family and love, is confirmed to begin production with Jerry Yan in the leading role.

The Taiwanese actor will be joined by Chinese actress Yedda Chen, who will step into the role originated by Han Hyo Joo. Acting veteran Fang Fang will take on the pivotal role of the grandmother.

Early reports on the synopsis of the remake, to be called “My Brilliant Life” (translated title) will follow its source material closely, but with the main characters likely a little older given the actors’ ages. The remake was announced at the Shanghai Television Festival held earlier in the month, with the cast in attendance.

“My Brilliant Life” follows in the footsteps of Korean dramas being remade abroad. Most recently, ongoing production of “Ikemen Desu ka,” Japan’s adaptation of “You’re Beautiful,” also a 2009 drama from SBS has made the news.

"You're Beautiful" in Japanese Drama Version " Ikemen Desu Ka?"

"

My Favourite drama 'You're Beautiful' will get had japanese version which will airing in this july with the title "Ikemen desu Ka?'

Yaotome Hikaru will be in a new TV drama. He will star alongside Kis-My-Ft.2‘s Tamamori Yuta and Fujigaya Taisuke and the female lead Takimoto Miori in this korean remake.

The story it revolves around Takimoto who joins the popular boyband A.N.Jell posing as her own twin brother and getting caught up in a “love square” with the other three members (Tamamori, Fujigaya, Yaotome).

The Korean drama aired in 2009 and achieved a somewhat mediocre audience share of 10.1%, which might be because it was up against strong competition or simply because it the actor/actress.

Ikemen desu ne will air from July through September 2011, Fridays at 10pm onTBS.The official website is here, and there’s also an official Twitter account here.

There’s one very interesting tidbit of information about the Korean original, and that’s the fact that because the drama features concert footage in it, A.N.JELL actually performed a mini-concert in front of some 25,000 people. I wonder if something similar is planned for the Japanese version of the drama. Also, I think it would be a great idea to have A.N.Jell actually release a soundtrack CD and go on Music Station and all that, kinda like Lands did for that Bandage movie. However, that’s probably not going to happen as it’s been reported that Kis-My-Ft.2‘s debut song will be featured in the drama, so instead of A.N.Jell it’ll be KMF2 who will release a CD and do all the promotion.

Another updated about "Ikemen Desu Ka"

Twenty-three-year-old Kojima Haruna of the all-female theater and idol group AKB48 was recently cast in the Japanese remake of the popular Korean drama "You Are Beautiful." Kojima is set to take on the role of NANA, a two-faced idol-actress. The outwardly kind but mean-spirited character was named Yoo He Yi in the original version and was played by After School’s UEE.

Kojima joins other previously announced cast members Takimoto Miori, Kis-My-Ft2’s Tamamori Yuta, Fujigaya Taisuke, and Hey!Say!JUMP’s Yaotome Hikaru in the adaptation to be called “Ikemen Desu ka.” “Ikemen Desu ka” will closely follow the story of “You Are Beautiful,” where a female singer masquerades as a young man to join an all-male idol group. The success of the drama spawned widespread popularity for its main cast members, Jang Geun Suk, Park Shin Hye, Jung Yong Hwa (CN Blue) and Lee Hong Ki (FT Island.)

“Ikemen Desu ka” is set to air over TBS, every Friday night at 10 PM in July 2011.

Hayate The Combat Butler In Taiwan Live action Drama

Is not only 'Skip Beat' will had a Live action drama....now 'Hayate The Combat Butler' follow the lead to get live action drama. This original series from shoujo ai manga/anime will get adaptation by Taiwan Network company and will be broadcast for Taiwanese. Recently i think a lot of actor/actress or Korean idol try to boost film/drama industry in taiwan. Same with this drama the lead actress will be Park Shin Hye actress that popular with drama 'You're beautiful'.

Let's see some report about the drama recently:-

Park Shin Hye, star of the upcoming “Heartstrings,” was in Taiwan over the weekend to promote her Taiwanese series “Hayate the Combat Butler,” co-starring George Hu.

In different promotional activities, Park Shin Hye revealed stories about her co-stars, anecdotes on her experience shooting the drama and other interesting tidbits about her stay in Taiwan.

“George is more manly,” the actress reveals of her co-lead, comparing the feel of her kissing scenes in “Hayate the Combat Butler” with those she did with Jang Geun Suk in the 2009 hit “You’re Beautiful.” She said Jang Geun Suk was like an older brother.

Because of the language difference, the two “Hayate” leads communicated through simple English, progressing from hand gestures and facial expressions in the beginning. George once taught Shin Hye to speak a line to be delivered in Chinese, which earned teasing from the crew that Shin Hye now speaks better Chinese
than George.

Upon touching down in Taipei, the busy actress went straight to the venue for a “Meet and Greet” event with fans. “Hayate the Combat Butler” is based on the Japanese anime of the same name and will begin airing on Taiwanese TV on June 19th.

Meanwhile, Park Shin Hye is currently shooting youth melodrama “Heartstrings,” with another “You’re Beautiful” co-star, Jung Yong Hwa. “Heartstrings” will premiere on MBC on June 29th.

Blood Types, Personalities, and Celebrities!!!

Characterizing personality by blood type is quite popular in Asian countries, and the phenomenon is comparable to the idea of matching horoscope with someone’s personality in the States. If you have had any Korean or Japanese friends, you’ve probably been asked, “What’s your blood type?” at one point in your life. While looking to your blood type to make sense of your personality may seem like a far-fetched idea, sometimes you just can’t deny how accurately they characterize you. Plus, it’s all for fun and games!

Blood Type A : Kind, Careful, Perfectionist

People with blood type A are usually serious, patient, and perfectionists. They like to plan things out in detail before pursuing their goals. They’re very cautious and stubborn, and others perceive their desire to make everything perfect as obsessive and uptight. Type As are also very timid and indecisive in awkward situations. They’re sensitive and sentimental, often forgetting reality and getting lost in dreams.

Best traits: conservative, introverted, patient, punctual, perfectionists

Worst traits: obsessive, stubborn, self-conscious, uptight, cautious

CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa has earned the nickname “timid boy” for being very hesitant and awkward with his make-believe wife Girls’ Generation’s Seo Hyun on “We Got Married.” During their first several months together, he delighted fans with his adorable awkwardness and shyness around his “wife.” During their last episode as a married couple, Seo Hyun confessed, “I almost cried because it [their first meeting] was so awkward.”

Some other blood type A celebrities include DBSK's Yunho, Big Bang's G-Dragon, BEAST's Lee Ki Kwang, actress Ha Ji Won, and actor Lee Min Ho.

B Blood Type : Bright, Attractive, Frank

Men with blood type B have acquired a very negative reputation in Korea. They’re often described as selfish and temperamental. To a degree, they’re considered the worst husband materials because of their “playboy” nature. That said, women are often attracted to men with the “bad-boy” image. In fact, actors Han Ji Hye and Lee Dong Gun starred in a rom-com movie titled “My Boyfriend is Type B” in 2005. Ha Mi (Han Ji Hye), an introverted and conservative type A college student, falls in love with Yeong Bin (Lee Dong Gun), a spontaneous and passionate type B man. However, her sister is completely against the two together in fear that her sister will end up as another victim of his whims. While type B men have acquired such negative reputations, women with this blood type do not share the same bad rep. People with blood type B are known to be passionate and creative, yet sometimes they get caught up in their own world and end up seeing self-centered to others. If they find something they’re interested in, they’ll forget everything else. On the other hand, they also get bored easily.

Best traits: creative, individualistic, passionate

Worst traits: irresponsible, self-centered, vain

You don’t have to be a fan of Big Bang’s Top (Choi Seung Hyun) to see his passion for his craft in his eyes. Behind his dark manliners lies a sharp and charismatic thirst for success. He’s considered one of the most talented rappers among Korean boy bands and the best singer-actor in the industry. He won the Best Male Rookie award at the 31st Blue Dragon Film Awards and the Best New Actor, as well as the Most Popular Award, at the 47th Baeksang Awards, for his role in the blockbuster movie “Into the Fire,” starring A-listersKim Seung Woo, Kwon Sang Woo, and Cha Seung Won.

Some other type B celebrities include Kim Hyun Joong, Big Bang's Tae Yang, SHINee's Min Ho, Hyun Bin, and SNSD's Yoona.
O Blood Type : Social, Active, Curious

People with blood type O are kind and place great emphasis on peace. They have bright personalities and a talent to lead others. Passion and honesty are among their greatest traits. Type Os make friends easily wherever they go and have great social skills. While they are curious about many thing, they get bored just as easily. To others, they seem like cool and controlled, but they also make big mistakes because of their careless characteristics.

Best traits: ambitious, athletic, confident

World straits: arrogant, vain, careless

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon’s dorky and cute personality attracts a lot of people, both fans and her fellow members, toward her. Before stepping down her role as leader of Girls’ Generation, she took her responsibilities seriously. As leader, she tried to steer the spotlight to other members and didn’t speak much on variety shows unless spoken to. Additionally, she keeps her cool and rarely gets angry. Back in 2009, Korea’s biggest community portal site DC Inside conducted a poll asking which idol group’s leader’s leadership stood out most. Tae Yeon won with an overwhelming 68.4% of the votes (1,970 votes). SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong ranked second with 9.7% (279 votes), and Wonder Girls’ Sun Ye followed with 5.4% (156 votes).

Some other blood type O celebrities include SNSD's Tiffany, f(x)'s Sulli, Big Bang's Daesung, SHINee'sOnew, and JYJ's Yoochun.

AB Blood Type : Talented, Calm, Rational

People with blood type AB are hard to categorize because they have both A and B characteristics in them. They are both introverted and extroverted, and they are often viewed as having multiple personalities because they shift from one personality to another. While they enjoy hanging with friends, they need time alone to think to themselves. Sometime they think something too deep and overthink thoughts. They seem very unforgiving as they are precise and tough to themselves and those around them. At the same time, people with blood type AB are very sensitive and very cautious. Koreans usually categorize people with AB as either a genius or an idiot.

Best traits: cool, controlled, empathetic

Worst traits: aloof, unforgiving

Super Junior’s Hee Chul is well-known for his dorky oddball behavior from various TV programs. He's made headlines several times with his funny, yet sometimes thoughtless remarks on screen. Additionally, he's part of the famous Chocoball Meeting, a group of celebs who call themselves a bit psychotic, but more charming by the dall - in other words, a group of celebs with AB blood type. Chocoball’s member include Simon D, Yong Jun Hyung, Choi Jong Hoon, Lee Hong Ki, Jong Sung Mo, Mithra Jin, and Sang Choo.

Other type AB celebs include 2PM's Taecyeon, Park Jin Young (JYP), SNSD's Yuri, and Wonder Girls' Sohee.

Big Bang, Super Junior, DBSK, 2PM, MBLAQ and ZE:A for "The K Showw"!

BIGBANG, Super Junior, DBSK, 2PM, MBLAQ, and ZE:A have become one for fans overseas.

Having the strongest idol groups, "2011 The K Showw" will take place at Incheon Songdo Convensia on July 9th. This combination of performers is already receiving much attention from Korean fans, and anticipations are growing since a collaboration like this has never happened in Japan, or anywhere else for that matter.

It must be said that these groups are already spreading outside Korea and Asia to markets throughout the world. Recently, 2PM topped Thailand's Channel V Asian chart and even outside of Japan, and MBLAQ andZE:A are actively promoting in Japan as well.

No one can imagine the magnitude of this mega show prepared for overseas fans, and it seems that the fans' screams can already be heard.

The K Showw is a special event for foreign fans in particular. The tickets are not sold in Korea, but instead, the tickets are sold in other countries, such as China and Japan. The tickets will be sold here.

Which Korean Star Do You Want to Travel With in Korea?

Korea Tourism Organization conducted a survey on the topic of “Korean Wave”. Total of 12,085 people in 102 countries participated in the survey. Among all participants, 53.3% of them are most interested in K-Pop, 32.5% are most interested in Korean drama, while 6.2% are interested in Korean film the most.

Regarding to the question of “Which Korean star do you want to travel with in Korea?” The result differs from country to country. Yet in total, first place goes to Super Junior (13.3%), second place goes to Big Bang(8.6%), third place is JYJ (6.7%), the fourth and the fifth are DBSK and SNSD respectively.

In Japan, first place goes to actor Bae Yong Joon, who is considered as the pioneer of the Korean wave in Japan. The fact he won the most votes shows Japanese are still more interested in Korean drama than K-Pop.

In English and Mandarin speaking countries, it is Super Junior won the most votes. In Spanish and French speaking countries, the first place goes to Big Bang. In German and Russian speaking countries, actressKim Tae Hee and singer Rain won the most votes.
It is interesting to see the result differs in different countries, how about you? Where are you from and who do you want to travel with in Korea?!

Source: wowkorea.jp
For me my vote goes to Perfectly 'SUPER JUNIOR' and than 'RAIN'.....no doubt. ^_^

Other write-up about this :-

Who likes Korean entertainment outside of Korea? Is music the most popular? Is it movies? Television? Do girls like it the most? Do guys like it the most? These are questions which have very vague answers depending on who you ask.

Well, the Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) have released results of a poll they held on their website (www.visitkorea.or.kr) from May 11th to 31st, and as you may have guessed, K-Pop is the primary draw for most to Korean entertainment, while the age demographic that was most common were people in their 20's. Korea is hip with the kids!

The survey asked 12,085 non-Korean's from 102 countries, seven questions related to the Hallyu wave. Through social networking and the internet, it covered eight languages: English, Russian, Spanish, German, French, simplified and traditional Chinese, and Japanese.

55 percent chose the category of K-Pop as the biggest draw which isn't that big of a number as you expect. Food and cosmetics were also there, as well as the show "2 Days and 1 Night," which I get to watch on TV in New York! (As well as some other Mnet and KBS shows, lucky me!) With KBS World and MNET tv spreading to multiple countries, (Music Bank is broadcasted to a large amount of countries,) is it a surprise to see a rise in people who enjoy Korean TV? As you'll see below, Korean TV is especially popular with Japanese women, they love their dramas!

As expected, a large amount of people answering were Asian with 9,253 from Asia, 2,158 from Europe, 502 from the Americas, 112 from Africa and 60 from Oceania. Are you surprised to see a bigger number for Europe than America? Call me stupid but I have only recently, with events like SM Town Paris, realized that Kpop is bigger in Europe than it seemed.

The stand out statistic, however, was that 90% of people who replied were female. Are you surprised? (I am male but I admit most Kpop fans I talk to are female, guys this is something we must change!) Guys seem to be reserved to falling into a Kpop obsession as I have seen opinions that male Kpop stars are "gay" because of the use of makeup and "guy-liner." So does this sort of stigma contribute to the underwhelming amount of guys showing interest?

When it came to the "hallyu celebrity" they would travel with in Korea, here were the top 5:

1: Super Junior (13%)

2: Big Bang (9%)

3: JYJ (7%)

4: TVXQ (5%)

5: SNSD (4%)

I presume by this they mean spend time with. Obviously all these groups are huge, but to be totally honest, I was expecting TVXQ to be on top of this list and for SNSD to be higher. I was surprised, but as a top five this made sense. Is this the top five you would choose? Considering 2NE1's plan to tackle the American market, and how Will.I.Am says he wants 2NE1 to become a global name, shouldn't they be on the list? Maybe their American push will put them there.

Countries also had re-occurring preferences when it came to celebrities from Korea they liked.(Note this was just a stand out figure, and it does not mean all people from these countries or that speak this language fall under this category.)

English speakers - Super Junior

French and Spanish speakers - Big Bang

German speakers - Kim-Tae-hee

Japanese speakers Bae Yong-joon (Japanese speakers showed more interest overall in Korean TV. More than half of Japanese respondents were women in the 40-50 demographic. Younger Japanese speakers preferred Kpop.)

What did you think of some of these findings?

On June 10th, the idols of SM Entertainment held a press conference right after their “SM Town Live in Paris” concert and expressed their thoughts on completing their first European concert.
Super Junior’s Leeteuk began, “It feels like just yesterday that I was listening to Jordy Lemoine and feeling entranced by his music, but now here I am exporting our own culture. I hope to write an amazing piece of history.”
TVXQ’s Yunho continued, “After seeing everyone shout ‘SM Town’, I realized that this was the flare of K-Pop culture. I’m glad that we’re able to kick it off to a great start. It still makes my heart beat.”
SNSD’s Sooyoung added, “I almost cried when I saw that fans had written ‘Thank you’ on the Korean flag. I was surprised to see them singing along to our songs, but what surprised me the most was that they even knew the cheer chants used by our Korean fans.”

Fans in France go wild for SMTOWN Live in Paris

On June 9th, a new episode of SBS’s “Midnight TV Entertainment” revealed the power of the increasingly global Hallyu wave that has been sweeping Europe.

K-pop has been making a large presence in France this year: on April 20th, around fifty fans from France visited Korea for SHINee’s fan meeting, confirming the group’s global popularity. Furthermore, SMTOWN Live, the first international idol group collaboration concerttook place in Paris today.

When the news was revealed earlier this year, European fans went wild, with tickets selling out in a mere 15 minutes. The reactions to the announcement were explosive as interviewed fans commented, “I’m so happy! K-pop is finally here in France!“, “I am so going to get 2 tickets. I’ll die if I don’t get them”, and “It’s a dream come true. I can’t wait for it“.

“Midnight TV Entertainment” also revealed footage of a demonstration by approximately 300 fans that took place in front of the Louvre. These fans, who weren’t able to purchase tickets, performed dances from Super Junior’s “Sorry, Sorry” to TVXQ’s “Mirotic“, demonstrating the popularity of Korean idols in Europe. In response to the demand of fans in Europe and at this demonstration, a second tour date was announced soon thereafter.

The episode also reveals footage of TVXQ, SNSD, SHINee and f(x) leaving for Paris.

"I bear this mark" Stigma of the Wind - Kaze No Stigma

"Eyes as blue as the azure sky... that is the symbol of the Contractor, entrusted by the Spirit King of the Wind by the powers of his domain. I bear this mark: the Stigma of the Wind." I like the opening show of this anime.

Is a fun anime if you're interested into this genre. Battles, magic, comedy, kick-ass moments, Kaze no stigma has it all. A somewhat decent Action, Romance with demons and the 4 elements. This anime is enjoyable to watch but it really lacks originality. ^_^

From the very first episode, the story is really easy to understand because there is nothing all that new about the premise. It is just the typical story of a boy and girl that team up to defeat the bad guys that randomly show up. From here it continues with the random mini adventures and it doesn’t really try to do anything special about it, so hardcore anime fans will feel like they have seen it all before. You may begin to wonder why you should even continue watching this anime if it is just like this however the story does kick off, in the latter half of the series. Even the pointless episodes are really fun to watch but what’s better are the little developments in some characters, though the ending is somewhat predictable.

For the characters we have Kazuma Yagami, a sort of anti-hero who became incredibly strong after being disowned by his dad. He is probably the most interesting character in the series; because he is a very understandable, with a distinguished personality that is brought out by the superb voice acting. And this cannot be an action romance anime without the typical "Tsundere", Ayano Kannagi. There are more characters but they are really insignificant that they can be easily overlooked.

Let's see some preview and synopsis of this series

Kaze no Stigma (Stigma of the Wind) or Kaze no Seikon is a Japanese light novel series written by Takahiro Yamato and illustrated by Hanamaru Nanto. After the death of the author on July 20, 2009, the story remains incomplete at eleven volumes. An anime television series adaptation directed by Junichi Sakata and animated by Gonzo began airing on April 11, 2007.

Kazuma Kannagi was considered useless within his family because he could not use "Enjutsu" (Blaze Technique), the power to control flames. When he was defeated by Ayano Kannagi, one of his very distant relatives, in a bout to decide who would wield "Enraiha" (Blaze Lightning Supremacy), a sword that was wielded by the family heir, he was banished from the family. Four years later, he returns as a master of "Fūjutsu" (Wind Technique), the power to control wind, and with a new name: Kazuma Yagami. Soon after his return, he is reunited with Ayano and his younger brother, Ren, who is also gifted in Enjutsu. Soon, however, Kannagi family members are killed and the murder weapon is revealed to be Fūjutsu. Now Kazuma has to fight his family to prove that he is not the murderer.

Main Character

Kazuma Yagami (Yagami Kazuma)
Voiced by: Daisuke Ono (Japanese), Robert McCollum (English)Kazuma is a former member of the Kannagi household. He was banished from the family by his father after being defeated by Ayano during the successor ceremony for "Enraiha", his family's sacred sword, due to his inability to use Enjutsu. In the light novel it is mentioned that Kazuma was found to have great potential in all other jutsu. Four years later, at the age of twenty two, he returns to Japan as a skilled master of Fūjutsu. As a "Fūjutsushi" (Wind Technique Practitioner), Kazuma's powers are extensive. Apart from being able to fly even while holding three people, Kazuma can launch blasts of wind that act as blades, and manipulate wind spirits to create a barrier, protecting his body from physical harm or reflecting light in order to camouflage himself. It has also become apparent that he possibly has the ability to manipulate electricity (shown during episode 23 just before Ayano brings him back to his normal self using the crimson flame.)Kazuma is also a Contractor, having entered into a contract with the "Kaze no Seirei-Ō" (Wind Spirit King). Thanks to that, Kazuma is able to draw upon all wind spirits in the atmosphere, which can amplify his powers, and allow him to heal his wounds. When using that power, his eyes turn azure blue. However, this ability puts a strain on his body. Also, when Kazuma is extremely angered, his eyes turn crimson red and his wind turns black and he is seen using mind reading powers. In this state, he has no qualms in hurting others with his abilities, as long as he gets what he wants. However, when in this state, his overall powers seem to be weaker because as stated by Ayano he is drawing only on a few emotions and is not in complete control of his powers. When Ayano helps him snap out of his rage, he states that his black wind is pathetic. At one point Ayano states that she was never afraid of him in his normal state, as he is so strong, her fear seems pointless. When she realizes that she fears his black wind, she knows she has a chance of defeating him, because that fear means that his power is no longer 'godlike.'It is later revealed that after Kazuma was banished from his family, his only desire became achieving great power. He traveled to a small town in China, where he caused all kinds of trouble. That is until he met Tsui Ling, whom he fell in love with and eventually lived with. Kazuma no longer desired power and along with working part-time at a restaurant with her. He also took up a job as a freelancer, doing simple odd jobs. His happiness, however, came to an abrupt end when an organization used Tsui Ling as a sacrifice to summon a powerful demon. Blaming himself for failing to protect her, Kazuma once again sought out great power, thus his making a contract with the Wind Spirit Lord. Some time after becoming a Contractor, he killed the one responsible for Tsui Ling's death. Later, two years prior to the series' beginning, Kazuma made a name for himself as the demon-like wind mage, who did not hesitate to hurt others as long as his task was completed. However, his personality began to turn for the good once again after returning to Japan and meeting Ayano. Admitting near the end of the anime that he could now love another person besides Tsui Ling and he comes to realize that he is actually in love with Ayano. In the light novel, it is revealed that shortly after Tsui Ling's death, Kazuma attempted to commit suicide, but was saved at the last moment by a traveling Taoist sennin. The immortal felt potential within Kazuma and brought Kazuma to his mountain where Kazuma spent the next year and a half in training. Li Lonyue, another one of the Taoist's disciples, believed that Kazuma can become an immortal like them with more training. However, Kazuma refused the offer, as he found immortality to be pointless and boring, instead opting to leave the mountain when he felt ready to carry out his vengeance.

Ayano Kannagi (Kannagi Ayano)
Voiced by: Ayumi Fujimura (Japanese), Cherami Leigh (English)Seventeen-year-old Ayano is a skilled "Enjutsushi" (Blaze Technique Master) and the successor to the Kannagi family's head. She is arrogant and impetuous, usually taking action by herself even while going against orders. Though she seems undisciplined, she believes deeply in her heritage, and more than once served as the voice of reason and drawn Kazuma back to action or sanity. Though cocky and thoughtless on the surface, she is self-conscious and sometimes unsure. She looks to others for guidance and simultaneously feels that she should not, responding yearningly to approval and affection. Though she finds his arrogance and teasing abrasive, Ayano develops a crush on him but is easily flustered when he flirts with her, irritated due to his habit of taunting her immediately afterward, and is prone to unjustified indignance when he gets close to another woman. She later comes to realize that she is actually in love with him. Kazuma is also the only person she sees as stronger in power and presence than even her own father.Ayano's power is the Crimson Flame called Kōen, but she is not yet able to consciously control it. She also holds Enraiha, the Kannagi's sacred sword, which she won by defeating Kazuma at the successor ceremony four years before the start of the story. The sword has fire properties and can be summoned by Ayano at any time. During combat, Ayano tends to fight recklessly and normally her anger and pride gets the better of her. Kazuma beats her in almost every encounter and points out the deficiencies in her fighting style. During their penultimate fight, she berates him furiously for falling for tricks that he taught her.

Actually i quite enjoy with this anime since there is many romantic scene between Kazuma and Ayano. Here is the link for the manga/anime:-

Updates: [Summary] episode 3 & 4 - City Hunter

Hey! hey! hey!, we back with summary episode 3 & 4 of our Bad Boy CITY HUNTER. The series become interesting in every new episode. So let see the recap for episode 3 & 4......kyaaaa

EPISODE 3
Episode 3 was mostly fast-paced action and execution, execution, execution! I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. In this episode he executes his plan! He starts a fire in the bathroom. All the people are fleeing and running out.Yoon Sung is now on the move, using a pen to hang on the ledge in order to pass by the security cameras unseen. He goes through the information he needs by taking pictures on his iphone and takes the shreds of paper that Shim Jae Dong (Bad guy in league with Target Number One) was trying to get rid of. Outside Nana is looking for Yoonsung. He taps her on the shoulder and she is angry thinking that he had fled for safety alone.Yoon Sung replies, “Hey I’m a guy and have to keep face, how could I go into the girl’s bathroom?”..hahaha i think it's sweet and funny.

The next scene showed YJ arguing with his supervisor again. YJ's team however receives a package from Yoon Sung, with all of the information that was gathered! (Funny how these two love triangle rivals are working on the same side).Target Number One is defending himself and it appears like the other Assembly members will vote whether he should be arrested or not.Yoon Sung and YJ are watching on as the vote is pretty much a tie. JP was also watching this scene from his mansion, and in anger he breaks a whiskey glass with his bare hands.

Yoon Sung obviously upset, began to think about the poor kids. YJ came out and just stood there staring at Target Number One. While Target Number One gloated and told YJ to find real criminals instead of upstanding citizens such as himself. Target Number One and Shim Jae Dong were talking about Yoon Sung, trying to remember if they had ever met before. Shim Jae Dong remembered Yoon Sung back when they had verbally argued.

There is a lot of romantic scene within Yoon Sung and Nana in this episode till almost the end of the episode it's time for Yoonn Sung to make a move towards target no.1. The celebratory event was held in order to congratulate Target Number One's publishing of a book. Target number one was talking to his grandson to ignore all of the things that people were saying on the news. The grandson was very mean to the other kids. The grandson even called the other kid a beggar! Target Number One was talking to the two children, he was asking about Yoon Sung and his whereabouts. Yoon Sung called in order to have a direct confrontation.Yoon Sung was caught but he began to piss off Target Number One. When asked who he was, he said that he was just a jobless dude who didn't like people that made little children starve. Yoon Sung also accused Targer Number One of being a crook! Target Number One got pissed off and basically began to go on about his crooked political philosophy. He said things on the line of "I should be using tax money in order to improve society because I know what is right" (Classic badguy talk) Yoon Sung's glasses were recording everything!.

Once Target Number One got back on stage, Yoon Sung's recording began to play. Yoon Sung had hacked into Korea's security system somehow and the clip was being played nationally on every computer. (A little farfetched but it was a crazy idea, and I like) The CEO ordered his bodyguard/go-to-guy to either get Target Number One out of the country or even kill him if necessary. While this was going on, Yoon Sung began his grand escape. While fighting through all of the baddies he fights a chef with a spoon! (Jason Bourne Style!).As Yoon Sung sees Target Number One escaping, he uses his bag against flags in order to slide down to the port.

Yoon Sung catches up to Target Number One, and he's about to be killed by the CEO's bodyguard! After he defeats the bodyguard and all of the baddies, he finally is face to face with Target Number One.Target Number One was sent to YJ in a box. Yoon Sung had contacted several news agencies making it known and seen by everyone.Target Number One also had a bunch of military tags around his neck (I guess the dog tags are being used as a kind of signal to bring out the other group of five members).

EPISODE 4
In this episode JP is scolding Yoon Sung. Yoon Sung doesn’t want to be involved with vengeance that calls/draws blood. Yoon Sung states, "If you were my real father, would you have wanted me to partake in this revenge that calls blood?.....
